EMSA(European Maritime Safety Agency) published new guidance on inspections of ships by the Port States in accordance with Regulation 1257/2013 on Ship Recycling (EU SRR). Some procedural guidance notes are really remarkable about inspection of ships within context of the EU SRR. "SR Inspection" detailed in Section 6 for both EU and non-EU flagged vessels. This is again confirmed that how important is the development and preparation of IHM and maintaining it on-board. Shipowners should be more wisely and selective for the preparation of IHMs for their vessels.
